We take great pleasure in welcoming you to our publication, The Third Service. The Third Service refers to EMS that are entirely separate from any other city department and are in existence for the sole purpose of providing emergency medical services.

We have created this with the intention of providing a space for the generation of knowledge, dialogue, critique, debate, and collaboration amongst our NYC EMS family.

We hope to encourage a broad discussion on, “What can be done to improve the lives of men and women in EMS?”
