Dear EMSPAC Community,
We hope this message finds you well. Over the past five years, EMSPAC has worked tirelessly—without paid staff and with the full dedication of frontline EMS volunteers—to strengthen, protect, and uplift our profession. Together, we’ve built a movement that proves EMS workers will never be invisible again.
In that time, we’ve:
- Delivered hardship assistance to over 550 EMS brothers and sisters through direct financial support, peer counseling, and long-term follow-up.
- Met with more than 30 elected officials, successfully securing $1 million in the FY2026 budget for a mental health and wellness pilot program at REMSCO.
- Helped organize 500 EMS providers into 1199SEIU, giving them a stronger, more responsive union voice.
- Raised over $4 million in emergency aid, much of which went directly to members in crisis.
- Organized countless rallies, demonstrations, and public campaigns to show that EMS workers matter.
- Published 13 issues of our EMS newspaper, developed a draft Bachelor’s in Paramedicine program, and become a trusted source of local EMS news, advocacy, and CME opportunities.
- Built real political power, defeating threats to our scope of practice, leading an EMS Safety rally at City Hall, and pushing forward an EMS Bill of Rights.
All of this has been accomplished by volunteers, for volunteers—driven entirely by the commitment of active-duty EMS professionals.
Now, to sustain and grow this vital work, the EMSPAC Board of Directors has voted to introduce optional annual dues: just $3 per member per year.
This small contribution will have a huge impact. Your dues/donation will:
- Build a Hardship Help Fund, so members in crisis can receive immediate, private grants instead of waiting for individual fundraisers.
- Support our nonprofit programs, ensuring our committees and organizers have the resources they need to keep EMSPAC strong.
We know not everyone is in a position to give financially—and if that’s the case, we still need your voice, your energy, and your time. Volunteer with us, spread the word, and stand shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues in this fight.
But if you can, we’re asking you to take just one small step: invest $3 a year in the future of EMS.
Together, we’ve already proven what’s possible. With your continued support, there’s no limit to what EMSPAC can achieve.
Stay safe, stay strong, and thank you for your generosity,
The EMSPAC Board of Directors
